Should we play some fixiball after the alleycat today?

    Whos finally got a ball?

Im trying to figure out an actual goal of fixball(ae rules and regulations) just to make it little more organized and fun for everyone, if anyones got some ideas let me know...

Ps...more than one ball equals more than one game at a time..:D

pvc pipe and a golf club shaft?

    •
      CommentAuthorRetroNano
    • CommentTimeJul 12th 2010

thin pvc shatters easily. so u gotta get some thick stuff like abs pipe or something. and yeah golf clubs, ski poles, or anything u can find will work. lol

Golf club shaft isn't going to make a lasting mallet, ski poles work best.

Ski poll and 1 1/2 inch or 2 inch ABS. 2 inch has been more popular lately. If you want to play, there is a group that plays weekly friday evenings in Turlock.

You can, but they are heavy as hell. My arm was already getting tired of using the mallet after like 10 minutes >.<

aight, thanks for that. now im deffinitely going to use a ski pole. i need to commit time into building one of these, even though they're so damn simple to make.

I've found golf clubs hard to drill through to attach the bolt.... when you guys get some practice and build your skills, go visit turlock and see how you do.

what kind of court are you using and what are you using for goals?

  5.

Well, when I played we used a basketball court here in Salida.

It's was good enough for 6 people when we played. If there were more people it would be too small, but we like using it because 3/4 sides are surrounded by a chain link fence so that the ball doesn't go rolling out into the street or the grass.
We just set up goals with small cones/backpacks/etc.

3 on 3 is about max on most courts, when you try 4 on 4 it becomes brutal because people are constantly in each others face.

2 on 2 is good and if you have a small showing there are other games you can play.

If you only have a few people you can play a game we call cut throat. Play with multiple balls, everyone against everyone, trying to pass the ball between the wheels of there other guy. Someone gets scored on 3 time they're out... last one left is winner.

Or, some concept but instead of getting knocked out, everyone stays in and the first one to earn 5 points wins.... or whatever point score you want... you get the idea.

Those are good warm up activities before the games or just when you get a light turn out.
