Steve and I made a quick trip to LA yesterday. I picked up a track bike, we rode some road bikes along the PCH, then went to check out the velodrome. That velodrome is awesome.

Which track bike did you end up with? No more conversion?

I bought an '07 Fuji Pro. That makes 3 fixed gear bikes... an 80's road conversion, a Felt Curbside and now the Fuji.

quite a collection there George :) can't wait to see the pro.

The Fuji pro is for training and racing on the track only. I plan to start racing Hellyer in March.

Can I join? Never been there..

If you want to try out the velodrome.. you have to attend the Saturday morning beginners sessions.
    Saturday's 9am to noon.
Get there early to fill out paper work.

    $5 for session
$5 to rent a track bike, or bring your own.. Fixed w/drop bars no brakes
    $6 to park... carpool.

After 3 beginners sessions you can attend other intermediate sessions.

George, is that one of those Continental training tires on the front?

  6.

It's just a sew-up that was laying around so we could mount the wheels.... the final mounted tires will match.
